Cookies are small pieces of data a service can store in your browser. Local storage is a separate browser feature used by our game to remember progress. This page supplements the Privacy Policy.
What uses storage
- Practice progress · local storage
- The
connecttracks-practice-v2entry holds your puzzle state and completed levels. It is written when you play and has no scheduled expiry in our code. It stays in this browser until it is cleared or removed by the browser. The game does not upload it. - Google Analytics · measurement cookies
- The Google tag loads on page visits and may set cookies such as
_gaand cookies beginning with_ga_to measure visits and interactions. Cookie availability and expiry depend on Google’s configuration and your browser. These cookies are separate from your game save. - YouTube · video player storage
- Pressing play loads a player from youtube-nocookie.com. YouTube may use browser storage and receives playback requests under its own policies. The privacy-enhanced domain does not mean that watching a video sends no information.
How to control it
- Use your browser’s cookie settings to inspect, block or remove cookies. Blocking cookies does not necessarily prevent all network requests.
- Use the browser’s site-data controls to delete a puzzle save. Removing local storage resets your saved progress; it does not delete data already held by an external service.
- Google provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported desktop browsers. Its scope is Google Analytics, not every service used by a page.
- To avoid loading an embedded YouTube player, leave the play button untouched. Thumbnails are served from our own image domain.
There is currently no on-site cookie preference panel. Your browser and provider tools are the controls described here. See Google’s explanation of data from partner sites for more options.
